Puig goes to the disabled list, Van Slyke comes off it

The Dodgers placed Yasiel Puig on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring before Friday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, and in a corresponding move activated Scott Van Slyke, who has been out since April 10 with lower-back irritation.
Puig was out of the starting lineup the last three games in Chicago due to the hamstring injury, but he pinch hit on Wednesday and Thursday.
He spent 75 days on the disabled list in 2015 (two stints) due to left and right hamstring strains.
Puig is hitting .237 with five home runs and 20 RBI in 53 games this season.
Van Slyke played in eight games with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City during his rehab assignment and went 7-for-31 (.226) with a double, a homer and five RBI.
