The Dodgers had three players in their farm system earn top honors for July 18-24:

  • Double-A Tulsa right-hander Chase De Jong was named the Texas League Pitcher of the Week after throwing seven innings of one-run ball in the Drillers’ 9-1 victory. De Jong has a 2.59 ERA in 111 innings (19 starts) this season.
  • After batting .375 (9-for-24) with three home runs and nine RBI in six games with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, outfielder Joey Curletta was given Player of the Week honors in the California League. The 22-year old is slashing .272/,345/.510 with 13 doubles, five triples, 13 home runs and 53 RBI for the Quakes this season.
  • Outfielder D.J. Peters also earned Player of the Week honors in the Pioneer League after recording a .565 batting average (13-for-23) with 11 runs, two home runs and seven RBI in six games for Rookie-level Ogden. Peters had four hits and five runs in the Raptors’ 16-7 win over Missoula on July 21. This year’s fourth-round draft pick by the Dodgers is batting .391 (45-for-115) with 18 extra-base hits, 19 RBI and three stolen bases along with a .485 OBP and 1.129 OPS in 29 games.

In other Dodger minor-league news from Monday’s games, Drew Maggi went 2 for 4 in a 9-3 loss to New Orleans to raise his batting average for Triple-A Oklahoma City to .450 in 40 at-bats, and Yadier Alvarez struck out 10 in four innings for Single-A Great Lakes in an 8-6 win.
