- Kyle Farmer and Cody Bellinger powered Double-A Tulsa to a 7-5 victory over Springfield. Farmer hit his fourth homer of the season, a solo shot to left field that tied the game at 1 in the first inning. Bellinger, following a double and two walks, smacked his second grand slam and 13th homer of the year.
- Andrew Sopko picked up a quality start, leading Single-A Rancho Cucamonga to a 4-2 victory while collecting his California League leading 11th win of the season. Sopko allowed two runs over six innings and struck out four on an efficient 64 pitches (43 strikes). Edwin Rios provided early run support with a two-run homer in the first inning, tying Johan Mieses for the team lead with 16 home runs. Rios and Joey Curletta moved up to Tulsa today.
- Cody Thomas continued his hot hitting since being promoted to Rookie League Ogden from the Arizona Summer League on July 5. His two home runs helped the Raptors earn a split in a doubleheader yesterday against Helena. He finished the day going 3-for-8 with four RBI and three runs scored. Since being moved up, Thomas is posting a .383/.438/.753 slashline with seven home runs and 20 RBI in 19 games. Jordan Paroubeck and Keibert Ruiz also hit home runs in Ogden’s 10-4 victory in game two of the doubleheader.
