By Cary Osborne
Tying in with the upcoming Fox scripted series “Pitch,” about the first woman to play in Major League Baseball, the Dodgers are hosting “Take Your Daughter to a Game Day” on September 4 when the Dodgers play the Padres at 1:10 p.m.
Prior to the game, fans can enter the “Pitch” Zone Experience and hit in a batting cage, beginning at 11 a.m. There will also be giveaways, such as a personalized “Pitch” baseball trading card.
After the game — which also features the giveaway of Sandy Koufax’s No. 32 in the Retired Numbers Pin Series — fans will get an exclusive sneak preview of the series premiere of “Pitch” on DodgerVision.
The series itself, starring Kylie Bunbury and featuring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (“Franklin & Bash”), Ali Larter (“Heroes”), Mo McRae (“Sons of Anarchy”), Mark Consuelos (“All My Children”) and Dan Lauria (“The Wonder Years”), premieres September 22.
