Though it’s not as dramatic as it was in July and August, when seemingly every start was up for grabs, the Dodgers did have some small tweaks and tidbits to share this afternoon about their starting pitching.

Brock Stewart will make Saturday’s start at Arizona instead of previously announced Bud Norris, according to Dave Roberts, who said Stewart was getting the nod based on “the way he’s thrown” in his recent outings. Norris will remain available out of the bullpen.

In addition to Brett Anderson’s rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City tonight in Game 3 of the Pacific Coast League championships, Roberts said that Scott Kazmir will also do a rehab start if the playoffs extend to Game 5 on Sunday. (Oklahoma City trails the best-of-five series, 2-0.)

Another rehabbing veteran, Brandon McCarthy, is scheduled to throw a simulated game Tuesday at Dodger Stadium before batting practice. Roberts said that McCarthy recently threw 90 pitches in a simulated game at Camelback Ranch.

As was reported Friday, Alex Wood is poised to be activated for use out of the bullpen by Monday, if not sooner.
