The start times for all potential National League Division Series games between the Dodgers and Nationals have been announced — sort of. First pitch for Games 3-5 will depend on how quickly the other series end.

Here is the schedule — all times Pacific:

  • Game 1 (Fox Sports 1): Today at Washington, 2:38 p.m.
  • Game 2 (Fox Sports 1): Saturday at Washington, 1:08 p.m.
  • Game 3 (MLB Network): Monday at Dodger Stadium, 1:08 p.m. (or if there are only two games that day, 3:08 p.m.)
  • *Game 4 (Fox Sports 1): Tuesday at Dodger Stadium. 2:05 p.m. (or if the Giants-Cubs series is over, 5:08 p.m.)
  • *Game 5 (Fox Sports 1): Thursday at Washington, 2:05 p.m. (or if the Giants-Cubs series is over, 5:08 p.m.)
    * if necessary

At Dodger Stadium, autogates will open three hours before game time, and turnstiles will open 2 1/2 hours before game time.

Limited tickets are still available at dodgers.com/tickets. Just clear your day like it’s Opening Day and come on out…

Horrible, guess they think no one in LA works during the day.

Proves playoffs are geared for the east coast audience and screw the Dodger fans

No, it proves that the Cubs are considered the NL’s No. 1 TV draw, which is probably accurate.

I do understand that Jon, but Cubs also have a lot more afternoon games then most teams still, and could have made at least one of the Dodger games in a spot that more of their fans could watch. It really is unfair that only the Saturday afternoon games is in a decent time slot of the 5, while a 5 of Cub-Gisnt games are decent for both fan bases.
Let’s hope Cubs sweep and Blue Jays and Indians do the same, and it gets a little better if there’s games 4 and 5.

Don’t think living on the east coast is an advantage. I live in Charlotte; I pay for MLB.TV and I still can’t watch the game live. If I could see the game on MLB.TV I still couldn’t, because MLB.TV blacks out Washington games though it’s 9 hours away. In fact, they blackout Cincinnati games which is 800 miles away.

Having both the Giants and the Dodgers as the home team for games 3 and 4 causes issues in scheduling. The Dodgers and/or Giants should get 7 or 7:30 pm PDT starts but that would screw over Nationals and Cubs fans who want to watch their team. Given that the Cubs are in the Central time zone they can watch their game at 8:38 pm and be in bed by midnight rather than slotting the Dodgers with a 9:38 pm EDT start and having Nationals fans up until 1 am.
